According to Statistics Netherlands, inflation in July was 10.3%. That means the average Dutch citizen lost one-tenth of their purchasing power on their bank savings. Furthermore, their stock and bond portfolios will likely be hit as global capital markets slump. This begs the question: which assets provide good inflation hedging capabilities to households?
