Matthijs Korevaar is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Erasmus School of Economics.

He obtained his PhD in the Department of Finance at Maastricht University. During this time, he worked at Stanford University as visiting researcher.

Matthijs has been listed as one of the Dutch most promising 30 under 30 according to Elsevier Magazine in 2020. Moreover, Matthijs received a Lowell Harriss Disseration Fellowship (2019), Jan Brouwer Thesis award (2017), Maastricht University Student Award (2017), and a Research Talent Grant funding his own PhD research (€220.000; 2016)

Research interests: finance, urban economics and economic history.
