Head of Responsible Investment at PGGM Investments
PGGM has nominated Hans Op ‘t Veld (44) as head of Responsible Investment (RI). Hans is taking responsibility for the RI-team as of May 1, 2018 and will report to the two co-CIO’s of PGGM Investment management. Currently Frank Roeters van Lennep, CIO Private Markets, is managing RI on an interim basis.
Hans joined PGGM in 2007 and currently is the head of Listed Real Estate in which capacity he is responsible for PGGM’s listed real estate investments, managing the PGGM Listed Real Estate Fund with AuM of EUR 11 billion. He also is a Research Fellow at the Amsterdam School of Real Estate and board member of the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA).
PGGM’s RI team is responsible for the implementation and development of the sustainability policy of PGGM. This is based on the principle that PGGM is able to add value both from a financial and from a societal perspective through active ownership and by factoring in sustainability factors in investment decisions which allows investments to thrive in the long term.
