Dongxiao Niu

Postdoctoral Associate in real estate finance and urban economics at MIT Center for Real Estate. Her research interests are urban economics and regional science, with a strong focus on sustainability in the real estate sector.

Dongxiao obtained her Ph.D. degree on Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University (China), and Master’s degree in Economics from Peking University (China). During her Ph.D. program, she studies the economic impact of transportation infrastructure in China, and the role of housing market in China’s urbanization. Before starting her postdoc, she visits MIT Center for Real Estate as a research associate in sustainable urbanization.
